Our Meters Register in Thousand Gallon Cycles
The conversion example below shows how to find the Billing Units billed. Simply divide the number of gallons (thousands) by 748 to get the cubic feet conversion. Then round that conversion number to get the number of billing units billed. This process works for any number of gallons (thousands) of water used.
Here are some examples:
3,000 gallons divided by 748 = 4.01069518 which then rounds to 4 Billing Units.
14,000 gallons divided by 748 = 18.71657754 which then rounds to 19 Billing Units
21,000 gallons divided by 748 = 28.07486631 which then rounds to 28 Billing Units.
